4 Parties One Dress . . . Here’s How

As the holiday season approaches it’s good to have some tricks to get the most out of your wardrobe. 

 

Let’s start with the Little Black Dress (the workhorse of any wardrobe) and accessories (the French woman’s secret to great style)and create 4 amazing looks using these 4 techniques. 

1. Think Monotone

 

 

Keeping the same pallet throughout helps create a very elegant and sophisticated look. Adding the big diamond ring adds just the right amount of sparkle.

2. Create a WOW

 

Pick one accessory that will standout and be the WOW in your look. Choosing shoes with gold and feathers is your statement! The gold earrings and clutch are perfect to finish the look but not overpower the shoes.

3. Be Bold

Using bright bold colors is another great way to create a focal point that is playful and strong. This is a great time to emphasise the bold and not be timid. Adding more is better than not enough when making your statement.

4. Repetition is your friend

 

Choose one motif that you are going to repeat in all your accessories. It could be stripes, polka dots or as in this look flowers. The repetition creates a stylized look without much effort. The flowers repeated here makes the outfit feel ethnic. 

The most important, the essential ingredient to making this work is starting with a little black dress that fits you perfectly. This is not the place to skimp. You do not need many Little Black Dresses you need just one. It has to fit you perfectly, look great on you and most importantly you must feel great wearing it. No accessory can cover up a bad fit.
