I love eating foods that are in season especially when you don’t need to do much to enjoy them.In France artichokes and asparagus are cooked in water until they are soft and very tender and served at room temperature with a vinaigrette.

All you do is cut off the stem and put them in a pot of water letting them boil until they are very tender.Serve them at room temperature with a vinaigrette.

Asparagus are cooked and served the same way. Just break off the tough ends before cooking. Strawberries are especially good right now.

I serve a large bowl of strawberries with the stems left on.  Another bowl filled with brown sugar and another with sour cream. Guests help themselves to the strawberries, dip them into the sour cream and then the brown sugar. This combination is so good it’s hard to believe it’s so easy.
