Staying Connected is Sometimes Hard to Do

June 06, 2013

French-Secrets Garden Collection Spring/Summer 2013, New F-S Logo, Madame's Boudoir DIFFA 2013

It is official; I cannot do 2 things at once! Actually, I never try just 2 things, I attempt 4 or 5 and I am a complete failure at it.  Something always falls to the wayside and this time it is posting on my blog.  I feel terrible because I miss writing and I feel like I’m stopping in the middle of a conversation without explanation. Once I stop writing inertia sets in and starting up again is hard, but here I go

Does anyone else have this experience? Or is it just me?

Let me tell you what I’ve been up to, I’ll save the details for upcoming blog posts.

  • I participated in DIFFA’S Dining by Design 2013: a collaboration with Charlene Keogh and Blane Charles. It was an amazing experience that was more work than any of us could have imagined and the feedback was also beyond our dreams!
  • We’ve redesigned this blog and changed the name to French-Secrets. It’s a work in progress.  Changes will continue to appear — please let us know what you think.
  • I’ve launched my Spring / Summer line of scarves that look chic without fuss and women love to wear! They’re in the blog shop now, check it out!

Next, I’ll write more about Madame’s Boudoir, the room we created for DIFFA and include the video for you to see.

à bientôt,
-Adeline

How to tie the Paris ShawlP.S. I forgot to say that one of the great things about the scarves is that they stay in place on their own. No more fussing!

You particularly know how satisfying that experience is when you expect it but don’t have it. Here is how...

Sitting at the dinner table and lingering after a delicious meal has always been my favorite part of a party. I love when the table, still cluttered with plates, silver, bottles, and glasses half-full, all shimmering in the candle light. Everyone dawdling, their voices excited while eruptions . . .

I AM DISAPPOINTED IN MYSELF

So far, 2022 has shaken me to my core. It has left me questioning things I believed to be true—things I took for granted. Number 1 I NEVER thought Roe v. Wade would be overturned. That is my stupidity; the signs were obvious but I just didn’t believe it could/would happen. Number 2 I NEVER thought . . .
