When I entertain, that’s my goal—for both my guests and me.
For a long time when I’d have a dinner party, I’d find myself ducking into the kitchen to finish up, while overhearing my guests in the other room laughing. It frustrated me to no end, because it seemed to be contrary to the point of inviting people who you wanted to spend time with.
I love to entertain, but when it felt more like work, I knew I was doing something wrong.
